I don't know which of my arguments was the problem, but putting --entrypoint "/bin/bash" at the end did not prevent execution of the ENTRYPOINT from the Dockerfile. docker run -it Replace i with d when all looks good! If your CMD property isn't giving the desired result, you can override what is set in the image by passing the --entrypoint command line argument with the value of /bin/bash docker run -it --entrypoint=/bin/bash 6.
